Stock Market Holidays Calendar 2022: Indian stock exchanges have declared the Holidays Calendar for 2022 and this year there are 13 exchange holidays in total, the rest 8 falling on a Saturday or a Sunday.

The month of January will have 1 holiday – the first trading holiday of 2022 will be on the 26th of January. February will have no holidays. The month of March has two BSE and NSE holidays, one of which will be on a Friday, which means a long weekend 💃.
The first day of March will be an exchange holiday on the occasion of Mahashivratri and the next holiday is on the 18th, which will be a Friday. Yay!
Most holidays this year will fall in the month of April, starting from the 1st of April, which is a Friday – yes another long weekend! In fact, the longest stretch of holidays also falls in April – on the 14thof April, Thursday on the occasion of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Jayanti/Mahavir Jayanti, and the 15thof April (Good Friday). Making it a 4-day long weekend. This means it’s time to start saving and investing for the upcoming holiday.
May will be having 2 holidays on weekdays. June and July will be dry months with no additional holidays. Come August and you’ll again have a four-day weekend starting from the 13th of August that will be a Saturday and ending on the 16thof August (Parsi New Year). Monday will be 15th August – a national holiday.
September has no additional holidays whereas October will have 3 holidays on the occasion of Diwali. The year’s final holiday will be in the month of November on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti and then it is business as usual for the whole of December, as Christmas falls on Sunday.
